Kids, spend time with dad

Here are some fun activities to do with dad on Sunday, June 18.

Father’s Day is fast approaching so make a plan to spend time with your dad.

Here are some fun activities to do with dad on Sunday, June 18.

Hit the course
Whether dad is a pro on the golf course or more of an ace at putt-putt, an afternoon of golf is fun for fathers and children alike. Stick with miniature golf if the kids are beginners, of course. Going to the driving range is a great activity if dad wants to start teaching the kids the “real” game.

Cars, cars and more cars
Is your dad an absolute car nut? Contact your local car clubs to find a nearby show of amazing vintage rides or the latest electric car. Bond over stories of what it was like for him to drive his first car or recall laughs over what he went through to teach you how to drive.

Visit a historic site

If your father is a history buff, visiting a history museum, war memorial, or other historic site in your area will probably fulfil his Father’s Day wishes. Pack his favourite sandwiches and snacks, and enjoy a picnic nearby.

Game on
Babies might be too young for the noise of a stadium but there’s nothing wrong with watching a match on television. It’s a great bonding activity, where the kids can share in their dad’s interests.

Play board games
Playing is good for your child in many ways. The kids can make the board games from scratch or choose their favourite game to play with the family. As a Father’s Day bonus, let dad win every game.

Take a hike
If he’s like most dads, yours probably loves the great outdoors. Find a local hiking or walking trail that the entire family will enjoy. Look for trail reviews online to make sure it’s suitable for younger children so that Dad doesn’t end up carrying them on his back.

No matter what you choose to do with dad this Father’s Day, the most important thing is to spend time with him and show him how much you love and appreciate him.
